What is Pillars of Support?

Pillars of Support began in 2008 to communicate the financial needs of Dunnville Christian School in a way that reflected the various aspects that are integral to independently operating an effective, Christ-centred school. The four pillars demonstrate the needed support to sustain DCS long-term. They are built on the essential foundation of prayer and the Word of God.

ACADEMICS: Excellence in education through highly trained, passionate and experienced Christian teachers, biblically-based, service-oriented high quality curriculum and well-equipped classrooms.
COMMUNITY: A connected and committed group of past, present and future students and their families, churches, businesses and supporters who work together and support each other in our common goal of educating children in the light of God’s Word to serve both God and others.
FUNDRAISING: Keeping our family-rate tuition structure reasonable and attainable for our current families through various initiatives and efforts that supplement the financial needs of Dunnville Christian School.
SERVICE: A culture of volunteerism, built on the servant heart of Jesus Christ, where parents and community members each give of their valuable time and diverse abilities for the benefit of our students.

A Community Approach

This fundraising model is part of what makes Dunnville Christian School so special. It is what unites us in working together as a community towards a common goal. Instead of moving to individualized tuition models or ranking on an income scale, we have intentionally chosen to value the family as a unit and the contributions of our community as a whole. The graph to the right demonstrates this community effort in an incredible way and we are so grateful!
